Power Up Your GlowingSeas Light with Confidence
Your GlowingSeas underwater LED fishing light is designed for quick and simple installation. Follow the instructions below based on the power system you are using to ensure safe operation and maximum performance.
Care Instructions
Keep Your Light Performing at Its Best
Routine maintenance helps maintain maximum brightness and extends the life of your underwater fishing light.
- Remove the light every few weeks to one month for cleaning and inspection.
- Gently scrub the housing using a soft brush or cloth.
- Clean with mild solutions such as white vinegar or a small amount of bleach to remove algae buildup.
- If barnacles develop, carefully remove them using a plastic scraper to avoid scratching the housing.
- Inspect the light regularly for cracks, damage, or excessive wear before reinstalling.
110V Installation
Simple Setup for Dock & Shoreline Applications
- Open the package and remove the 110V transformer included with your GlowingSeas light.
- Locate the two wires coming from the light. One wire is marked with white writing (Tracer)—this is the positive (+) lead.
- Before plugging the transformer into a power outlet, loosen the two screw terminals on the back of the transformer.
- Insert the light wires beneath the terminals and tighten the screws securely.
- Connect the wire with the white tracer to the positive (+) terminal.
- Plug the transformer into a properly grounded outdoor outlet. We strongly recommend using a GFCI-protected outlet for added safety.
- Turn the transformer on and cycle through the settings until the green ON indicator is illuminated. Your underwater light should now be operating.
12V Installation
Ideal for Boats, Docks & Portable Use
- Connect the red alligator clip to the positive (+) terminal of a 12V battery.
- Connect the remaining clip to the negative battery terminal.
- Only use a 12V power source. Connecting the light to a higher voltage may permanently damage the unit.
- Since the light is designed to float, attach a length of monofilament line to the collar and secure a weight to keep it suspended below the surface.
- Position the light approximately 18–24 inches below the water for maximum brightness and fish attraction.
- Keep the light away from boat traffic and propellers to prevent accidental damage, as impact damage is not covered under warranty.
